Steve Barr, MD
Dr. Barr earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Duke University. He received his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tuscon. Dr. Barr spent his next five years at the University of South Florida in Tampa in general surgery training with a year of training in hand surgery and microsurgery. Dr. Barr rounded out his surgical training at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston where he completed a fellowship in plastic surgery. After his training, Dr. Barr came to Georgia to start his private practice with Renue Plastic Surgery and raise his family.
Dr. Barr is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and he holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Barr has been published in the major peer-reviewed journals on plastic and reconstructive surgery as well as hand surgery and has presented his work at national meetings.

In addition to spending time with his wife, Amy Pavlou, MD, who is a pediatrician at Pediatric Associates of Brunswick, and their three children, Dr. Barr also enjoys swimming, biking, competing in triathlons and playing guitar. Dr. Barr is fluent in Spanish.
